DSCS works with local social service, welfare, charitable, religious, housing organizations, etc., inviting their clients to the Shop to receive toys for their children. DSCS invitations will NOT BE MAILED this year.

Denver Human Services (DHS) Families on SNAP, TANF, Medicaid or SSI – with children 11 years and younger – are eligible for admittance to DSCS.  Information on the toy distribution and qualifications will be added in late November, 2020 on DHS and DSCS Web sites, social media, lobby signs, etc. You can also contact your DHS case manager or call DHS for more information at 720-944-3666.

Because of COVID-19, we plan to do a mobile toy distribution instead of our usual toy store. Clients will drive up to receive NEW toys based on their children’s ages. This is different from our usual operation, but we want to keep everyone as safe as possible during COVID-19.

To qualify, non-DHS client families, must…

    • Be residents of the City and County of Denver
    • Be registered with & referred to DSCS by Social Service Agencies or Community Partners, such as:
          • Catholic Charities
          • Denver Public Schools’ Homeless Education Network or social worker, psychologist, counselor
          • Colorado Coalition for the Homeless
          • Head Start
          • Volunteers of America
          • Whiz Kids
          • Denver Children’s Home
          • Churches
