DSCS works with local social service, welfare, charitable, religious, housing organizations, etc., inviting their clients to the Shop to choose toys for their children. DSCS invitations will NOT BE MAILED this year.
Denver Human Services (DHS) clients on SNAP, TANF, Medicaid or SSI – with children 11 years and younger – are eligible for admittance to DSCS.  Information on the toy give-away and qualifications will be added in late November, 2019 on DHS and DSCS Web sites, social media, lobby signs, etc. You can also contact your DHS case manager or call DHS for more information at 720-944-3666.

To qualify, non-DHS client families, must…

    • Be residents of the City and County of Denver
    • Be registered with & referred to DSCS by Community Partners or Social Service Agencies,* including:
          • Catholic Charities
          • Denver Public Schools’ Homeless Education Network or social worker, psychologist, counselor
          • Colorado Coalition for the Homeless
          • Head Start
          • Volunteers of America
          • Whiz Kids
          • Denver Children’s Home
          • Churches
* Social Service Agencies or Community Partners interested in referring families can email DSCS via our CONTACT form below.

For admittance to the Shop, please bring:

  • Proof of Denver residency (driver’s license, rent or utility receipt)
  • Birth certificates for children 11 and under (or other proof of child’s age)
  • Community Partner referral form if you received one
